Why we built this world — a letter from the maker.
蒲郡の名産、蒲郡みかん。
このサイトは、そのみかん「だけ」を使って、蒲郡のおもしろいところ、いいところ、ちょっとディープなところを、小さなミニチュアの世界として表現していく場所です。
皮は橋になり、道になり、湯船になる。房は舟に、岩に、観客席に。白い筋（アルベド）は干潟や雲海に、果汁は海や温泉になる。 みかんの部位をじっくり見つめ、ありとあらゆる「見立てる力」で、蒲郡の名所と結びつけていく。飾るのではなく、化けさせる。それがこの世界のルールです。
ミニチュアの絵としてのおもしろさから、「実際の場所ってどんな感じなんだろう」「本物の食べ物はどんな味なんだろう」と、ふと気になってもらえたら。 日本の方にも、世界の方にも、次の旅の候補に蒲郡を入れてもらえたら。そんな観光PRがしたくて、この世界をつくりました。
そして、みかんをいつも身近に感じてもらうことで、「蒲郡に来たら、絶対にみかんを食べたい」と思ってもらえたら、うれしいです。

Gamagori mandarins are our town's pride. This site uses nothing but those mandarins to turn Gamagori's fun, lovely and little-known corners into a miniature world.
Peel becomes a bridge, a road, a bath. Segments become boats, rocks, a cheering crowd. The white pith turns into tidal flats and seas of cloud; the juice into ocean and hot springs. We look closely at every part of the fruit and match it to a real place in Gamagori. Not decorated — transformed.
If a tiny scene makes you wonder what the real place looks like, or how the real food tastes, and Gamagori sneaks onto your next travel list — that is exactly why we built this. And once you're here, we hope a mandarin is the first thing you want to eat.
